The Severn Bore is one of Britain's truly spectacular natural phenomena. It is a large surge wave sweeping backwards up river, making the Severn tidal range south of Gloucester the second highest in the world, rising as much as 50 feet!
On March 31st there is a 4 star morning bore, predicted to be the highest for 2025. It will doubtless attract many surfers!
It promises to draw a rush of belittling awe and wonder at the magnificence and might of mother nature.
